27,000 buses ready for pilgrims – Saudi transport authority gears up!

Saudi Arabia’s Transport Authority Prepares for Hajj with 27,000 Buses

In preparation for this year’s Hajj, Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority has confirmed that over 27,000 buses will be available to ferry pilgrims around the holy sites.

More than 3,500 buses have been designated to transport pilgrims to and from the Grand Mosque via 16 routes with 11 stops and stations. Additionally, 355 buses will be allocated for transportation within Makkah and 27 buses in Madinah.

Passengers are reminded to follow rules aimed at maintaining a pleasant travel environment, such as refraining from smoking or eating in undesignated areas and avoiding loud phone conversations that may disrupt others during transport.

To ensure passenger satisfaction, the authority will compensate passengers in the event of a bus delay exceeding an hour on rides lasting more than three hours. Affected passengers will receive complimentary meals and refreshments, along with information on how to file complaints or make inquiries.
