In a monumental move, Saudi energy giant Aramco has granted a $7.7 billion contract for the extensive expansion of its Fadhili Gas Plant located in the Eastern Province.

Winning Contractors

The company proudly declared that SAMSUNG Engineering Co, GS Engineering & Construction Corp, and Nesma & Partners emerged victorious in securing the increment project contract for the gas plant.

Increased Processing Capacity

The initiative aims to elevate the plant’s processing capacity from 2.5 billion standard cubic feet per day to a remarkable 4 billion, marking a substantial enhancement in operations.

The additional 1.5 bscfd processing capacity is anticipated to play a pivotal role in Aramco’s strategy to boost gas production by over 60 percent by 2030 compared to 2021 levels.
