Saudi Cinema Nights: A Global Showcase of Saudi Films
Get ready for an international cinematic journey as the Saudi Film Commission’s second Saudi Cinema Nights series kicks off this month. This year, the itinerary has expanded to include screenings in five countries, compared to just one last year.
Featuring over 20 Saudi-produced feature films and shorts, this cultural showcase will travel to Morocco in April, then make its way to Australia, China, and India, before concluding in Mexico next January.
But it’s not just about watching films – interactive discussion sessions will also take place at each location, allowing filmmakers to engage with the audience and share insights about their work. The goal? To deepen the global understanding and appreciation of Saudi cinema.
“Saudi Film Nights showcases our dedication to enriching cinema culture in the Kingdom and underlines the potential of Saudi films to captivate international audiences,” said Abdullah Al-Qahtani, CEO of the Film Commission.
Last year, the first Saudi Cinema Nights international screenings took place in Paris at the prestigious Institut du Monde Arabe.
