Spring-Themed Eid Al-Fitr Festivities at Ithra: Blooms with Joy
DHAHRAN: Get ready for a spring-themed celebration at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, Ithra, this Eid Al-Fitr. With the tagline “blooms with joy,” the festivities will run from April 11-13 and offer a range of fun and educational activities for the whole family.
Event Details
Eid at Ithra will be open from 4 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. on all designated Eid days. Chocolate lovers can indulge in creating their own delicious treats at the Plaza area, where a station with milk and white chocolate will be available for participants to customize their chocolate bars with various toppings until 11 p.m.
Live music will fill the Plaza throughout the three nights, creating a vibrant atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
Interactive Experiences
Head up to the exhibition area in the library for Eid-centric storytelling sessions and interactive games. Explore new characters, gain values, and answer questions while immersing yourself in the joy of Eid at Ithra.
Outside in the Lush Garden, an interactive maze awaits visitors to solve quests along the way. At the Energy Exhibit, experts will conduct live experiments to answer intriguing questions related to science and Eid decorations.
Entertainment Lineup
Watch three short films daily at 4:30 p.m. at the cinema, including “Saleeg,” “Radimah,” and “Alrufea.” Don’t miss Ithra’s own “Valley Road” film at 8 p.m., offering a Saudi-centric storyline with Arabic dialogue and English subtitles.
The Children’s Museum will showcase the Eid Around the World program, exploring global and local Eid traditions. The Energy Exhibit will feature a live family play titled “The Village of Happiness.”
Live Performances
Catch two live performances of “Hikayat Farah with Chorolla” at the Ithra Theater each night of Eid. Shows start at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., providing entertainment for all ages.
