Unveiling the Top Volunteer Activity in Kingdom: Distributing Iftar Meals

Riyadh Youth Engage in Volunteer and Charitable Activities During Ramadan

In the bustling city of Riyadh, a wave of young men and women are actively participating in volunteer and charitable activities, as well as community initiatives, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. According to the Saudi Press Agency, these individuals are not only helping others but also fostering social solidarity and spreading positivity throughout society.

Contributing to Serving the Community During Ramadan

Volunteering during Ramadan presents a unique opportunity for individuals to contribute towards serving the community and engaging in charitable works. One of the most common activities during this time is the distribution of iftar meals to those who are fasting, as per the teachings of Prophet Muhammad: “Whoever gives iftar to a fasting person will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.”

Accredited charitable organizations oversee the distribution of iftar meals, which typically consist of dates, milk, and water, in public places. This act of kindness not only provides nourishment to those in need but also spreads a sense of unity and compassion among the community.

In the Eastern province, the Abshir Bil-Futoor initiative has been making a significant impact for the past two years. Led by a voluntary work association under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Nayef, the governor of the Eastern Province, this initiative has brought together various government, private, and nonprofit sector entities to distribute 100,000 meals with the help of over 2,000 volunteers.

The volunteer team participating in the Abshir Bil-Futoor initiative has expressed their pride and satisfaction in serving the society through this noble cause. Initiative supervisor Hussein Ali Al-Fatil highlighted the commitment of over 250 volunteers in Qatif, who distributed 4,000 meals while adhering to strict security and safety protocols.
