Hollywood Stars Participate in Cinema for Gaza Auction
Several Hollywood celebrities, including Susan Sarandon, Paul Mescal, and Olivia Colman, have joined the list of participants in the Cinema for Gaza auction, aimed at raising funds for humanitarian relief in Palestine.
Support from Jeremy Corbyn
British Member of Parliament and former leader of the UK’s Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, has also lent his support to the initiative. He will be donating a Zoom poetry reading and homemade jam to the cause.
Organized by UK-Based Filmmakers
The auction is organized by UK-based filmmakers and authors and has already raised over $126 thousand to support Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
Notable Bids
The current highest bid is for a handwritten copy of the lyrics to “Sweet Dreams” by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart, with bidding reaching around $10 thousand.
Celebrity Offerings
Olivia Colman is offering a personalized video message, while Susan Sarandon has a signed Rocky Horror artwork available. Paul Mescal’s Aftersun poster is up for auction, along with a framed Malcolm X poster signed by Spike Lee and a Mamma Mia! gold record signed by actor Stellan Skarsgård.
