Saudi Arabia Prepares Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque for Eid Al-Fitr

In a statement released by the Presidency of Religious Affairs in Saudi Arabia, it has been confirmed that the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah are ready to welcome worshipers for Eid Al-Fitr prayers.

Both of the Two Holy Mosques have undergone extensive preparations to provide a range of religious services aimed at enhancing the spiritual experience for visitors and creating a serene atmosphere filled with reverence and tranquility.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Souli, the supervisor of the affairs of imams and muezzins, guidance, and counseling at the presidency, expressed the organization’s readiness to receive worshipers for the important Eid Al-Fitr prayer. He emphasized the implementation of a comprehensive religious system that focuses on enhancing awareness and providing guidance to visitors.

To cater to the diverse linguistic needs of visitors and worshipers, the presidency has allocated translators who will be available in multiple languages. These translators can be accessed through designated booths or free telephones within the Grand Mosque.

Eminent scholars will be offering lessons in the Grand Mosque on Zakat Al-Fitr, an obligatory charitable donation that is to be given at the end of Ramadan before the Eid prayer, as well as teachings on various religious sciences.

The presidency also announced the designated imams for the Eid Al-Fitr prayer ceremonies. Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid will lead the prayers and deliver the Eid sermon at the Grand Mosque, while Sheikh Ahmed bin Ali Al-Hudhaifi will perform the same duties at the Prophet’s Mosque.
