A Platform for Industry Leaders and Experts

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is gearing up to host one of the most important events at local, regional, and international levels. The Saudi Water Forum aims to bring together industry leaders, experts, and key stakeholders to tackle the challenges facing the water sector.

Driving Solutions

Developers, investors, scientists, and researchers will come together with official entities like the MEWA, Saline Water Conversion Corp., National Water Co., and more to strategize on solutions. The forum will highlight best practices and successful experiences in developing water projects that meet the Kingdom’s needs.

Rationalizing Water Consumption

Saudi Arabia, known as one of the world’s driest countries, is taking bold steps to reduce water consumption. The national program announced at the SWF in 2019 aims to slash water usage by 24 percent by 2020 and 43 percent by 2030. Al-Fadley launched the Qatrah program to achieve these goals.

Looking Towards a Sustainable Future

Through initiatives like the Qatrah program, the MEWA is working towards reducing daily per capita water consumption in Saudi Arabia. The goal is to bring consumption down to 200 liters by 2020 and 150 liters by 2030, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
