Saudi Authorities Crack Down on Drug Smuggling in Jazan Region

In a recent series of operations, Saudi authorities in the Jazan region have made significant drug-related arrests and confiscations, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Sunday.

One of the incidents involved Border Guards in the Al-Dayer governorate thwarting an attempt to smuggle 175 kg of narcotic qat.

Additionally, three Yemeni nationals were apprehended by the guards for trying to smuggle 60 kg of qat in Jazan.

In a separate operation, land patrols in Jazan arrested a citizen who was selling qat plants hidden in his vehicle.

Another individual was caught with 71 kg of hashish hidden in a vehicle in Al-Dayer governorate.

Border Guards patrols in the Al-Arda governorate intercepted the smuggling of 160 kg of qat.

All individuals involved in these incidents have undergone preliminary legal procedures, and the seized items have been handed over to the authorities.
