Saudi Arabia’s Shoura Council Speaker Visits Jordan for Official Visit

Saudi Arabia’s Shoura Council Speaker, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Asheikh, made a grand entrance in Jordan on Monday as part of an official visit that aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Al-Asheikh is leading a delegation from the council, who were extended a warm invitation by Ahmed Safadi, the speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives.

Upon touching down at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, the capital city, Al-Asheikh was greeted by Safadi, along with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Jordan Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi and a host of high-ranking officials from the Jordanian House of Representatives.

In a powerful statement, Al-Asheikh lauded the progress and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Jordan across various sectors. He underscored the mutual commitment of the leaderships of both nations to fortify and deepen bilateral ties to meet the aspirations of their respective populations.

He also commended the use of parliamentary diplomacy by the Shoura Council to advance relations between Saudi Arabia and other countries. Through this approach, the council aims to build bridges, foster collaboration, and showcase the Kingdom’s stance on different issues and events.

During his visit, Al-Asheikh is scheduled to engage in discussions with Safadi, with a focus on bolstering cooperation in parliamentary realms. The talks will center on aligning efforts, coordinating positions, and enhancing dialogue and parliamentary collaboration in regional and international arenas. Additionally, Al-Asheikh will meet with Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez, Senate officials, and other key figures in Jordan.
