Breaking News: Saudi Authorities Foil Captagon Smuggling Plot!

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority Thwarts Massive Drug Smuggling Attempt

In a daring move, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority successfully intercepted an illegal shipment of 1,006,518 Captagon pills at Duba Port, located in the northwest region of Saudi Arabia.

Disguised as “pepper and guava,” the pills were cleverly hidden in the shipment, but were quickly discovered by vigilant authorities. Following the seizure, a joint effort with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control led to the arrest of the intended recipient of the illegal items within the Kingdom.

With a firm commitment to upholding Customs control in the country’s imports and exports, authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their fight against smuggling attempts. Their unwavering dedication aims to safeguard the security of society and prevent illicit substances from infiltrating the nation.

Recent operations conducted by Saudi authorities have resulted in multiple drug-related arrests and confiscations. Border Guard land patrols in the Jazan region successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 120 kg of qat, a stimulant plant. Additionally, another smuggling attempt involving 170 kg of qat was intercepted in Al-Ardah governorate within the same region.
