UAE Sees 64% Surge in Trademark Registrations in Q1 2024
In a display of economic vitality, the United Arab Emirates experienced a remarkable 64 percent increase in trademark registrations, totaling 4,610 in the first quarter of 2024, according to official data released by the Ministry of Economy.
March Leads the Way with 2,018 New Brands
March stood out as a particularly productive month, with 2,018 new brands being registered. These trademarks span a wide array of key sectors, including smart technology, transportation, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, finance, real estate, and more.
Continued Growth in January and February
The preceding months of January and February collectively accounted for 2,592 trademarks, underscoring the sustained growth and momentum in registrations. This trend signifies the UAE’s commitment to positioning itself as a global business hub.
Enhanced Service and International Compliance
The Ministry of Economy has focused on developing the trademark registration service, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and client interaction.
