Italian Embassy’s Epic Celebration on ‘Made in Italy Day’ in Saudi Arabia

The Italian Embassy in Riyadh Celebrates Inaugural “Made in Italy Day”

In a grand celebration, the Italian Embassy in Riyadh marked the first-ever “Made in Italy Day” by unveiling a new visa application center and exhibition space.

Giuliano Fragnito, the deputy head of the mission, expressed his excitement about showcasing Italian expertise in various industries such as fashion, design, automotive, and space.

The chosen date, April 15, coincides with the birth anniversary of the legendary Leonardo da Vinci in 1452.

The newly inaugurated exhibition space, Casa Italia, aims to promote Italy from a commercial, cultural, and scientific standpoint. The opening event, titled “Italian Space Way,” celebrated Italy’s significant contribution to the space industry.

Fragnito highlighted the strong partnership between Italy and Saudi Arabia in the space sector, emphasizing the recent agreement between the Italian Space Agency and Saudi Space Commission to enhance collaboration.

The overarching goal of the celebration was to underscore the deepening relationship between Italy and the Kingdom across various sectors.

Italian exports to Saudi Arabia witnessed a 20% growth last year, reflecting the increasing demand for Italian products in the Saudi market.

The new visa application center, managed by AlmaViva and VFS Global, is conveniently located at Gate 2 of Loclizer Mall in Riyadh, with similar services available in Jeddah and Dammam.
