Meet Ahmed bin Ali Al-Suwailem, the Non-Profit Sector CEO!

Ahmed Al-Suwailem: Leading the Charge in Saudi Arabia’s Non-Profit Sector

With a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in economics, trade, finance, and banking, Ahmed Al-Suwailem has taken on the role of CEO at the National Center for Non-Profit Sector in 2022.

In his current position, Al-Suwailem is tasked with spearheading the development of the Kingdom’s non-profit sector, amplifying its impact on social and economic development, and harmonizing government initiatives in licensing, financial oversight, and coordination.

Prior to his current role, Al-Suwailem has held key positions such as CEO of the National Anti-Commercial Concealment Program at the Saudi Ministry of Commerce, adviser to the Saudi Minister of Commerce, and secretary general of the Riyadh Chamber.

His professional journey has also seen him at the helm of management information systems in financial planning and control at Saudi Investment Bank, as well as serving as executive vice president of financial control at Gulf International Bank.

Apart from his CEO duties, Al-Suwailem serves as managing director and board member at the Riyadh International Exhibition Center. Additionally, he holds board positions at the General Authority for Awqaf and the Associations Support Fund, is a trustee of the Riyadh Economic Forum, and sits on the executive committee for remuneration and compensation at the Riyadh Chamber.

Al-Suwailem’s academic qualifications include a master’s degree in finance from George Washington University in the US and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia.

He is a certified management accountant and public accountant, with credentials in international financial reporting standards and accreditation in exhibition and conference management from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events.
