JEDDAH: Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts Launches Sci-Art Exhibition in Jeddah

The Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts has kicked off an exhibition in Jeddah featuring 25 captivating artworks that delve into the fascinating connection between science and art.

The highly anticipated second annual exhibition, organized by the arts society in collaboration with the Biology Club at King Abdulaziz University, was inaugurated in the presence of Mohammed Al-Subaih, director-general of the organization, Mona Al-Harbi, vice dean of the college of science, local artists, and proud parents.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The Sci-Art exhibition is a collaborative effort between the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts and the Biology Club at King Abdulaziz University.

The exhibition, scheduled to run until May 2 at the organization’s Abdul Halim Radwi Auditorium, offers a creative interpretation of scientific exploration. Its main purpose is to motivate students to display their creativity and artistic flair.

At the event’s debut, fifteen female students showcased their artworks, focusing on various subjects such as the human body’s systems, the solar system, the human mind, the natural world, animals, mathematics, computer programming, global warming, and more.

The Sci-Art exhibition provides a platform for participants to engage their creative and analytical minds, fostering new connections between ideas and offering insights into the world through art.

Al-Subaih commended the students for their exceptional work, stating, “This exhibition is part of our commitment to promoting culture and arts. We wanted to create a space for students to showcase their talents and innovative ideas, and this exhibition is a thrilling moment for us to share with our community.”

Al-Harbi emphasized, “The Sci-Art exhibition encourages participants to engage their creative and analytical minds, fostering new connections between ideas and offering insights into the world through art.

“This exhibition serves as a platform for students and others to express their artistic side while merging art and science. Our goal is to inspire students to showcase their artistic talents and create paintings related to subjects they have learned in science.”
