Saudi Heritage Commission and Kanazawa University Join Forces for Archeological Work

In an exciting collaboration, the Saudi Heritage Commission and Japan’s Kanazawa University have teamed up to conduct archeological work at two prehistoric sites.

The agreement, signed on Tuesday, focuses on survey work at Jouf and Tabuk, showcasing the commission’s dedication to expanding field work and archeological surveys across the Kingdom.

This partnership will enhance scientific collaborations with universities and centers worldwide, solidifying the commission’s commitment to advancing research in the field.

The strategic agreement will involve scientific field studies, the dissemination of survey and excavation results, and the recruitment of expert scientific talent to analyze pastoral patterns at both sites.

The signing ceremony, held in Riyadh, was attended by Saudi Heritage Commission CEO Jasser Al-Harbash and Japanese ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Iwai Fumio.
