DAMMAM Municipality Cracks Down on Visual Discrepancies
In a bid to enhance the quality of life in eastern Dammam, the Eastern Region Municipality conducted a whopping 688 inspection tours of municipal facilities during the first quarter of the year. The goal? To rectify visual discrepancies and boost compliance with regulations for residential and commercial buildings along main roads. This campaign is also geared towards spurring real estate development in the region.
The rigorous inspections resulted in the issuance of 213 notices to establishments, as well as the removal of graffiti from 19 sites, 221 concrete barriers, and 111 signboards.
In the final quarter of 2023, the Commercial Licensing and Health Control Department of the municipality was on a roll, carrying out 1,614 services. This included issuing 388 new commercial licenses, renewing 927 existing licenses, and updating 77 licenses. Moreover, 117 licenses underwent amendments, and ownership changes were made to 105 commercial licenses. To top it off, the department conducted 1,726 monitoring rounds within the same period.
The ongoing campaign by the Eastern Region Municipality is a step towards enhancing building compliance and elevating the urban landscape of the region.
