Shocking: Saudi authorities round up 19,662 illegal immigrants in just 7 days!

Saudi Authorities Crack Down on Violators

In a swift and decisive move, Saudi authorities have apprehended a staggering 19,662 individuals within a mere week for flouting residency, work, and border security laws. This crackdown, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency, underscores the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order.

Residency laws were breached by 12,436 individuals, with 4,464 caught attempting illegal border crossings, and 2,762 detained for labor-related infractions. The numbers paint a stark picture of the challenges faced by authorities in upholding the country’s regulations.

Of particular concern were the 1,233 individuals attempting unauthorized entry into Saudi Arabia, with a majority hailing from Ethiopia and Yemen. The Ministry of Interior highlighted the severity of the issue, warning against any involvement in facilitating illegal entry, which could result in imprisonment for up to 15 years, hefty fines, and asset confiscation.

A total of 96 individuals were intercepted while trying to cross into neighboring countries, while nine were apprehended for aiding and abetting violators. The message is clear: there will be no leniency for those seeking to flout the law.

To further bolster enforcement efforts, the Ministry has urged the public to report any suspected violations through designated toll-free numbers. In the Makkah and Riyadh regions, reports can be made to 911, while other regions can utilize 999 or 996.

The crackdown serves as a stark reminder that Saudi Arabia is unwavering in its commitment to upholding the rule of law and safeguarding its borders.
