Riyadh Set to Host Future Aviation Forum with $100 Billion Investment Opportunities Unveiled

Get ready as the world’s biggest aviation investors gear up to make their way to Riyadh for the upcoming Future Aviation Forum. Saudi Arabia is all set to showcase more than $100 billion in investment opportunities in line with its ambitious Saudi Aviation Strategy.

The forum will feature an investment showcase highlighting various projects and incentives aimed at attracting investments into the Kingdom’s thriving aviation sector. From airports to airlines, ground services to cargo and logistics, the showcase will cover it all.

Breakdown of the $100 Billion Investment

A detailed breakdown of the $100 billion investment reveals that airports will account for over $50 billion, new aircraft orders will amount to about $40 billion, with the remaining $10 billion allocated for other projects. This includes $5 billion set aside for special logistics areas around major airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

Minister for Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, expressed, “Saudi Arabia’s aviation investment opportunities are unparalleled globally. The Saudi Aviation Strategy aims to triple passenger numbers, connect to over 250 destinations, and handle 330 million passengers and 4.5 million tonnes of cargo by 2030.”

Minister for Investment, Khalid Al-Falih added, “Aviation is a key investment sector in Saudi Arabia’s broader economic transformation. The aviation investment showcase will provide investors with unmatched access to be part of the Kingdom’s transformation towards becoming a global investment hub targeting $3.3 trillion in investment by 2030.”

What to Expect

The showcase will include investor briefings, meetings, and panels focusing on major projects, such as the six-runway King Salman International Airport in Riyadh and public-private partnerships for airports in Abha, Taif, Hail, and Qassim. Opportunities in cargo and logistics, advanced air mobility, and business aviation will also be highlighted.

Leading global executives from Boeing, Airbus, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, and Embraer will be present at the event. They will be joined by investors, representatives from airlines, airports, cargo, logistics, and aviation services companies. The lineup of speakers includes Saudi ministers, as well as global aviation and investment CEOs.
