Saudi King Salman extends condolences to Brazilian President over devastating floods

In a heartfelt message, King Salman of Saudi Arabia expressed his condolences and sympathy to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in the wake of the tragic floods that ravaged the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The floods resulted in multiple fatalities, injuries, and numerous missing individuals, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Wednesday.

Upon learning of the devastating floods that swept through the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul in the Federal Republic of Brazil, the king conveyed his deep sorrow and solidarity with President Lula da Silva. He offered his warmest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the deceased and the people of Brazil, while expressing hope for the safe return of the missing individuals and a swift recovery for the injured.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also reached out to the Brazilian president with a similar message of support and empathy.

The heavy rains and flooding in Rio Grande do Sul have left a staggering 128 people missing, with over 230,000 individuals displaced from their homes. The floodwaters have caused widespread isolation in the region, creating a dire situation for the affected communities.
