The plan will be set in motion at the beginning of the sacred month of Dhul-Qdah, starting on May 9, and will remain active until all pilgrims have completed their journey. This includes the full operation of Terminal 1, the North Terminal, and the Hajj and Umrah lounge complex, with a standardized system of arrivals and departures in place to efficiently cater to all travelers.

Johar highlighted the extensive facilities available at the airport, with over 400 platforms for passport procedures, luggage check-in counters, loading bridges, customs inspection devices, luggage conveyor belts, bus gates, and health centers. Additionally, there are designated areas for handling group luggage to streamline the process for pilgrims.

During the peak period, the workforce at King Abdulaziz International Airport will reach approximately 16,000 employees from various governmental, security, and operational sectors. Their dedication to serving pilgrims and facilitating their journey of faith is paramount.
