Saudi Ministry of Tourism Cracks Down on Violations in Asir Region
In a recent inspection tour of hospitality facilities in the Asir region, the Saudi Ministry of Tourism uncovered more than 350 violations, leading to the closure of 40 establishments.
Under the Our Guests Are A Priority campaign, the ministry received and addressed around 270 complaints regarding the services provided in hotels and serviced apartments during the first quarter of 2024.
A total of 650 supervisory and inspection tours were conducted by the ministry’s teams as part of ongoing efforts to boost the tourism sector across the Kingdom. The focus is on ensuring high-quality services for visitors and tourists in various hospitality facilities.
The ministry has vowed to take strict action against those operating without proper licenses, including imposing hefty penalties. Violators can expect regulatory penalties, closure of their facilities, or both, depending on the severity of the violations.
