Royal Saudi Air Force Concludes Participation in Desert Flag Exercise

The Royal Saudi Air Force wrapped up its involvement in the multinational air exercise known as “Desert Flag” at Al-Dhafra Air Base in the UAE, as announced by the Kingdom’s defense ministry.

Teaming up with forces from various friendly nations, the RSAF played a key role in the exercise.

Lt. Col. Adel Abu Malha, the commander of the air force group engaged in the exercise, emphasized that the drill successfully met its objectives, including the sharing of military expertise, enhancing readiness and combat effectiveness, and bolstering ties with the participating forces.

Moreover, he highlighted the high level of professionalism displayed by RSAF personnel throughout the exercise.

Over the course of three weeks, the drill encompassed a wide range of operations such as offensive, defensive, and strategic counterair maneuvers, as well as providing support to ground forces in diverse and challenging scenarios.

The Saudi air force’s participation featured six F-15SA fighter aircraft, supported by air, technical, and support crews, carrying out a total of 80 day and night sorties as well as engaging in aerial refueling.
