Breaking News: Saudi Arabia Supports Palestinian Statehood in UN Vote!

Saudi Arabia Applauds UN General Assembly’s Resolution on Palestine

In a historic move, the UN General Assembly has recognized that the State of Palestine, currently an observer state, is eligible for full membership of the organization. The 193-member assembly overwhelmingly voted in favor of the resolution, urging the Security Council to reconsider the matter and grant Palestine the rights and benefits of full membership.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia hailed the decision, stating that it reflects the international consensus on the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state through a two-state solution. The Kingdom commended the countries that supported the resolution and called on the Security Council member states to uphold the moral and legal rights of the Palestinian people.

During the vote, 143 members supported the resolution, while nine, including the US and Israel, opposed it, and 25 abstained. This momentous decision marks a significant step towards achieving peace and justice for Palestine.
