Curated Exhibition on Post-Impressionism

Mark your calendars for the “Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances” exhibition, scheduled to run from October 16 to February 9 next year. The exhibition will be curated by Jean-Remi Touzet, conservator for paintings at the Musee d’Orsay, and Jerome Farigoule, chief curator at Louvre Abu Dhabi, with the assistance of Aisha Alahmadi, curatorial assistant at Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Delving into the post-impressionist era spanning from 1886 to 1905, the exhibition aims to explore a period of intense artistic innovation and experimentation. This era marked a significant transition from impressionism to the explosive emergence of the ‘fauves’ at the Salon d’Automne, as stated in a press release.
