Saudi Delegation Strengthens Digital Economy Ties with UK
In a monumental official visit, the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan, led a delegation from Saudi Arabia to London, setting the stage for significant advancements in the digital economy collaboration between the two nations.
Engaging with leaders and officials from both public and private sectors in the UK, Al-Suwaiyan focused on bolstering cooperation in the digital economy and leveraging shared global experiences to drive innovation.
Key Highlights of the Visit
During the visit, Al-Suwaiyan, who also chairs the executive committee of the Digital Cooperation Organization, participated in the Annual 21st Middle East and North Africa Conference. In his keynote speech, he showcased Saudi Arabia’s pioneering approach to digital transformation, emphasizing the country’s successful practices in the digital government sector.
Al-Suwaiyan held crucial meetings with prominent figures such as Alex Burghart, Julia Lopez, and Saqib Bhatti, discussing strategies to expand the strategic partnership in digital government between Saudi Arabia and the UK.
The Saudi Ambassador to the UK, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan, hosted Al-Suwaiyan and the delegation at the embassy, where they reviewed the DGA’s efforts in enhancing digital government services and explored avenues for collaboration.
Empowering Saudi Students
Al-Suwaiyan also interacted with Saudi scholarship students at the Saudi Cultural Mission in London, delving into digital transformation initiatives and addressing the challenges they face in accessing digital government services. This initiative aimed to improve their digital experience and align services with their needs.
