Breaking: Saudi forces join massive military drill in Jordan!

Saudi Armed Forces Participate in Eager Lion Military Drill

In a display of strength and cooperation, units from the Saudi Armed Forces are currently taking part in the Eager Lion military drill in Jordan. The exercise, which runs from May 12 to May 23, involves the armies of 31 countries and aims to enhance readiness and exchange expertise.

Maj. Gen. Adel Al-Balawi, head of the Saudi Armed Forces Education and Training Authority, highlighted the importance of the drill in training for joint operations, missile air defense, counter-terrorism, and maritime security operations. These skills are crucial in facing regional threats and ensuring preparedness.

Various branches of the Armed Forces, including the General Staff, Joint Forces Command, and land, air, sea, and air defense branches, are actively participating in the exercise to strengthen coordination and cooperation.

Meanwhile, the Royal Saudi Air Force recently concluded its involvement in the Desert Flag mixed air exercise in the UAE. Lt. Col. Adel bin Saeed Abu Malhah, the commander of the participating forces, emphasized the importance of practicing offensive and defensive air operations in complex scenarios under different threats.

The RSAF contribution included six F-15SA fighter jets with full air and technical crews, conducting a total of 80 sorties including daytime and night operations, as well as aerial refueling to enhance capabilities and readiness.
