Riyadh’s Abha City Blooms with Color After Recent Rains

In the aftermath of the recent rains in Asir, the city of Abha is bursting with vibrant hues as the jacaranda trees that line its streets come to life.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, countless picnickers and tourists have flocked to areas like Art Street, where the blossoms serve as a stunning backdrop to the city’s lively atmosphere.

With over 15,000 jacaranda trees in the Asir region, some towering up to 18 meters (60 feet) in height, the cityscape is transformed into a breathtaking display of nature’s beauty.

Known for their resilience in temperate climates, the jacaranda genus, consisting of around 45 species of trees and shrubs, flourishes in moderate regions such as those found in the southern part of the Kingdom.
