Riyadh Hosts Third Annual Middle East Poultry Exhibition

Poultry industry experts from around the world have gathered in Riyadh to explore ways to enhance business value in the sector.

The Middle East Poultry Exhibition, now in its third year, is currently taking place until May 15 and is expected to draw thousands of visitors.

The conference was inaugurated by Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center on Monday.

With over 100 experts in poultry, fodder, and animal nutrition, as well as 300 companies from 40 countries in attendance, the three-day event is a hub of industry knowledge and innovation.

Under the theme “Maximizing value and reducing costs: Value engineering in the poultry industry,” the exhibition focuses on leveraging modern technologies and showcasing over 800 supply chain products from leading companies.

Attendees have the opportunity to exchange experiences, explore best practices, and review investment opportunities to boost GDP and support the National Food Security Strategy.

According to the expo, the poultry sector has received over SR665 million in support through the agricultural subsidies program, with the goal of achieving 80 percent self-sufficiency in poultry meat by 2025.

Thanks to government support and increased private sector investment, the poultry industry has emerged as one of the fastest-growing sectors in the Kingdom.
