Riyadh: 1,000 Qur’an Memorization Sessions Approved for Hajj Pilgrims

Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, head of the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, has given the green light for the launch of 1,000 sessions dedicated to Hajj pilgrims memorizing the Qur’an, as reported by Saudi Press Agency on Sunday.

Global Dissemination of Qur’an Morals

This groundbreaking initiative is in line with the presidency’s ambitious plans for this year’s Hajj season, aiming to spread the morals of the Qur’an and its moderate message on a global scale. Qualified Saudi teachers, who have committed the holy book to memory, will spearhead these efforts to enhance the spiritual journey of pilgrims.

Kingdom’s Commitment to Qur’anic Education

Al-Sudais emphasized that this initiative showcases the Kingdom’s leadership’s dedication to teaching, memorizing, interpreting, and deepening the understanding of the Qur’an. The sessions held in the Two Holy Mosques will offer educational and pedagogical content, along with methodological approaches to propagating the Qur’an’s message and guidance.

Expanding Education Through Qur’anic Sessions

The Presidency of Religious Affairs also aims to broaden the educational scope within these Qur’anic sessions by incorporating recitations and commemorations related to the Prophet Muhammad.
