Saudi Arabia Extends Condolences to Iran Following Helicopter Crash

In a heartfelt gesture, Saudi Arabia’s deputy minister of foreign affairs, Waleed Elkhereiji, expressed condolences and sympathy to Iran after the tragic deaths of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a devastating helicopter crash.

Elkhereiji, representing Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, personally delivered the message to the Iranian ambassador to the Kingdom, Alireza Enayatiat, at the nation’s embassy in Riyadh. The Saudi foreign ministry reported that Abdulmajeed Al-Samari, the deputy minister for protocol affairs, also joined Elkhereiji in conveying his condolences.

The fatal accident occurred when the Iranian president, foreign minister, and six others lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash amidst dense fog in mountainous terrain near the border with Azerbaijan on Sunday.
