Saudi Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information Takes Center Stage at International Conference in Ghana

In a bid to showcase its commitment to cutting-edge technologies and innovation in surveying and geospatial activities, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information is currently participating in the annual Conference of the International Federation of Surveyors in Accra, Ghana, from May 19-24.

The conference serves as a platform for experts and professionals to exchange knowledge and best practices in the field, with a focus on creating a flexible environment and sustainable management of natural resources.

During the event, the Saudi authority delivered a technical presentation titled “Surveying and Geospatial Information in Saudi Arabia: Past, Present, and Future Aspirations,” which was attended by FIG President Diane Dumashie, vice presidents, and experts from around the world.

Saudi ambassador to Ghana and Togo, Sultan Al-Dakhil, paid a visit to the authority’s booth, commending its efforts to forge partnerships with international organizations and promote collaboration in the field.

With over 1,500 participants from 80 countries, the conference offers a unique opportunity for government bodies, private sector entities, academia, and global expertise centers to come together and engage in fruitful discussions through 70 scientific sessions.
