Riyadh Celebrates Jordan’s Independence Day

In a show of solidarity and friendship, King Salman of Saudi Arabia reached out to King Abdullah II of Jordan with warm congratulations on the occasion of Jordan’s independence day. The Saudi Press Agency reported the heartfelt message from King Salman, who expressed his well wishes for King Abdullah’s continued good health and happiness. Additionally, King Salman extended his hopes for further progress and prosperity for the government and people of Jordan.

Not to be outdone, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also sent a cable of congratulations to the Jordanian king, further cementing the strong bond between the two nations.

The messages from the Saudi leadership were just a few among many sent by global leaders and heads of international organizations, all coming together to celebrate Jordan’s independence day. One notable message came from Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, the speaker of the Arab Parliament, who wished Jordan and its people “more security, stability, and prosperity.”

In a show of admiration, Al-Asoumi also praised the “civilizational achievements made by the kingdom under the leadership of King Abdullah II in all areas that have made the kingdom a leading regional and international model.”
