Warning to Saudi Recruiters: Heavy Fines Await for Visa Violations

Heavy Consequences for Recruiters Who Fail to Report Expired Visas

In a stern warning, the General Directorate of Public Security in Saudi Arabia has announced strict penalties for recruiters who neglect to report the departure of employees once their entry visas expire. Those found guilty could face a hefty fine of approximately SR50,000 ($13,300), up to six months of imprisonment, and potential deportation of the expatriate employees.

To crack down on residency, work, and border security violations, the directorate has urged the public to report any suspicious activities by calling emergency hotlines at (911) in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) in other regions of the Kingdom.

Furthermore, a recent Saudi Press Agency report revealed that from May 23 to June 21, individuals holding any type of visit visa are prohibited from entering or staying in Makkah. It is emphasized that possessing a visit visa does not grant permission to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage, as clarified by the directorate.
