Shocking: Dua Lipa condemns Israeli genocide, demands Gaza ceasefire

Dua Lipa Condemns Israel’s Military Operations in Gaza as “Genocide”

In a bold move, British singer Dua Lipa took to social media to denounce Israel’s military operations in Gaza as an “Israeli genocide” in an Instagram Story post shared with her massive following of 88 million fans.

The Grammy-winning artist, with Kosovo Albanian heritage, also joined the trending hashtag #AllEyesOnRafah that has been circulating online in response to Israel’s bombing of the Palestinian city.

“Burning children alive can never be justified. The whole world is mobilising to stop the Israeli genocide. Please show your solidarity with Gaza,” the singer passionately wrote.

This marks the strongest condemnation Lipa has made yet regarding Israel’s eight-month bombing campaign, which began after an attack by Hamas on October 7.

In December, Lipa expressed her heartache for the people of Israel and Palestine, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and urging governments to address the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.

Meanwhile, English singer-songwriter Paul Weller, known for performing in front of a Palestinian flag on his recent tour, criticized Israel in an interview with British newspaper the Observer in May. He questioned the morality of supplying weapons while also sending aid, highlighting the complexities of the situation.
