Riyadh: National Transformation Program Driving Vision 2030 Success
In an exclusive interview with Arab News at the Global Project Management Forum 2024 in Riyadh, Thamer Al-Saadoun, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Program (NTP), highlighted the program’s role in achieving 34 out of 96 objectives set by Vision 2030.
Launched in mid-2016, the NTP aims to transform Saudi Arabia into a leading nation by empowering the private sector, enhancing government excellence, fostering economic partnerships, and fast-tracking digital transformation.
The Extensive Scope of NTP
Al-Saadoun explained that the NTP consists of over 300 initiatives, 79 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and involves collaboration with more than 50 government entities to achieve targets across various sectors.
He emphasized the program’s success in empowering women, achieving Vision 2030 targets ahead of schedule, advancing environmental initiatives, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and attracting foreign investment.

Al-Saadoun praised the Global Project Management Forum (GPMF) for its global significance and value in sharing expertise and knowledge. He highlighted the forum’s impact on Saudi Arabia’s project landscape.

Al-Saadoun commended Vision 2030 as one of the most inspiring success stories, attributing its achievements to leadership support, collaboration, change management, capability building, and execution focus.
He expressed confidence in the future progress of Vision 2030, stating that the Kingdom aims to achieve even more in the coming years.
