Redefining Energy: Ministry of Energy Launches Groundbreaking Energy Dictionary

In a groundbreaking collaboration with the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, the Ministry of Energy has unveiled a comprehensive dictionary of energy terminology in both Arabic and English.

The first edition of the dictionary features over 1,500 terms, carefully organized into eight categories including oil and gas, atomic and nuclear energy, sustainability, electricity, renewable energy, units of measurement, names of entities and initiatives, and common abbreviations. This dictionary serves as a reliable reference for all energy sector terminology, promoting consistency and standardization in communication.

Notable features of the dictionary include an interactive digital version for user-friendly access and alphabetical organization in both languages for ease of navigation.

Crafted by national experts in the energy sector and meticulously reviewed by a specialized linguistic team from KSGAAL, the dictionary underwent a rigorous six-stage development process. English terms were gathered from a variety of energy sources, translated into Arabic with precision, categorized by energy field, and scrutinized by experts in both energy and linguistics. The terms were then alphabetically arranged and standardized to reflect common industry usage in the Kingdom.

Continual updates and enhancements will ensure the dictionary remains current and relevant in an ever-evolving energy landscape.
