104-Year-Old Woman from Iraq Identified as Oldest Hajj Pilgrim in Saudi Arabia

In a historic moment, Kazimiya Hatim, a 104-year-old woman from Iraq, has been recognized as the oldest Hajj pilgrim to visit the Kingdom this year. Her arrival at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah on May 25th was met with great fanfare and excitement.

With over 33,000 Iraqi pilgrims expected to make the journey to Saudi Arabia during the Hajj period, Kazimiya’s presence symbolizes resilience and determination.

Accompanied by Iraqi agent Ali Abd Al-Rida Khazim, Kazimiya embarked on a journey from Madinah to Makkah aboard the Al-Haramain train after visiting the Prophet’s Mosque.

Khazim expressed his pride and joy in having Kazimiya as part of the Iraqi Hajj mission, emphasizing her strong will to participate in the pilgrimage. Despite her age, Kazimiya’s good health is being closely monitored to ensure her well-being.

Speaking about her experience, Kazimiya expressed her happiness in being in the Kingdom for Hajj, praising the warm welcome and excellent service she and her companions have received.
