Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz Welcomes Pilgrims from Indonesia

In a grand gesture, Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, the deputy governor of Makkah province, personally greeted around 400 pilgrims who arrived at the Jeddah international airport from Surabaya, Indonesia. This heartwarming reception was part of the “Makkah Route” initiative, a program established by the Saudi government six years ago to streamline travel procedures for Hajj pilgrims in the Kingdom.

During the welcoming ceremony, Prince Saud presented gifts to the pilgrims and conducted an inspection of the Hajj and Umrah lounge complex at the King Abdulaziz International Airport, ensuring that all facilities were in top-notch condition for the guests.

Monitoring Services for the “Guests of God”

As the vice chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, Prince Saud also took the time to review the services being provided to the pilgrims by various public and private agencies operating at the airport. He was accompanied by top officials including the director general of passports, the president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and the Hajj and Umrah Deputy Minister.

Prince Saud meticulously monitored security procedures, customs inspections, and service sites at the airport to ensure a seamless experience for the pilgrims. He also checked the health center, luggage acceptance area, and the designated area for the “Pilgrim Without a Bag” initiative, all aimed at facilitating the pilgrims’ journey and ensuring their comfort.

Border Guard Welcomes Pilgrims at Land and Sea Ports

The General Directorate of Border Guard continued its efforts to welcome pilgrims arriving at the Kingdom’s land and sea ports, providing them with necessary facilities and guidance to complete their procedures swiftly and efficiently.

However, amidst the warm reception, the Jeddah police uncovered a case of fraud involving a Pakistani man who was promoting false housing and transportation services to pilgrims. The suspect was also found with forged Hajj bracelets, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
