5 Clinics & Heat Exhaustion Center Set Up at Hajj Sites by Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs

Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs Ready to Serve Pilgrims During Hajj Season

In preparation for this year’s Hajj season, the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs has set up five clinics and a medical center to assist pilgrims suffering from heat exhaustion and sunstroke in Mina and Arafat.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the ministry has assembled a team of 250 employees and health practitioners, including 50 specialized doctors in various fields such as intensive care, cardiology, emergency medicine, and more.

Dr. Jabr Al-Subaie, the chief operating officer in the health affairs section of the ministry in the Western Region, announced the establishment of clinics for respiratory diseases, inpatient beds, ICU beds, isolation rooms, a room for minor operations, dental clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology services.

Additionally, a heat exhaustion and sunstroke center in Arafat has been equipped with 20 beds, the latest equipment, air and water spray distribution systems, clinics for men and women, and an outpatient pharmacy.

Dr. Majid Al-Thaqafi, the medical supervisor at the field hospital in Mina, emphasized that all rescue teams are fully equipped with the latest emergency and support equipment at the Jamarat sites in Mina and Jabal Al-Rahma (Mount Arafat).
