Diriyah Authority’s Spectacular Eid Art Performances!

Riyadh Celebrates Eid Al-Adha with Artistic and Cultural Shows

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority pulled out all the stops to celebrate Eid Al-Adha with a plethora of artistic and cultural shows.

Citizens and visitors alike immersed themselves in the carnival-like atmosphere spread across various locations, including Diriyah’s parks, squares, neighborhoods, the historic Al-Turaif neighborhood, and the Bujairi Terrace.

The four-day extravaganza, starting on the first day of Eid, featured a dazzling array of artistic and cultural programs, live shows in Al-Turaif, and traditional arts showcases like Ardah and Samri. To add to the festive spirit, around 25,000 gifts were generously distributed to attendees enjoying interactive shows and live music.

On the inaugural day of Eid, the authority launched a service to oversee the sacrifice of animals, ensuring compliance with approved standards and requirements. It meticulously managed the organization and preparation process during the pilgrimage, set up parking areas and waiting tents, and distributed sacrificial bags to those eager to partake in the ritual.

This year’s celebrations included magnificent Arabian horse displays, intricate traditional henna decorations, and the distribution of delightful gift boxes filled with sweets.

At Bujairi Terrace, throngs of people reveled in the Eid Al-Adha festivities. They were treated to live musical performances featuring oud, rababa, and qanun instruments, as well as pavilions where talented artists sketched caricatured portraits of guests and children had their faces adorned with vibrant paint.
