Saudi Humanitarian Center KSRelief Spreads Aid Across Middle East and Africa During Eid

During the Eid holiday, Saudi humanitarian center KSRelief executed a series of aid initiatives across the Middle East and Africa, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

Aid Initiatives in Somalia

In Baidoa, a city in southwestern Somalia, KSRelief distributed 786 sacrificial animals to approximately 3,144 displaced individuals. This initiative is part of a larger project aimed at securing sacrificial animals in Somalia this year, with a total of 2,220 animals to be distributed in the Banadir region, including the capital Mogadishu and the southwestern region, benefiting 53,280 individuals.

Supporting Needy Groups in Yemen

In Yemen, KSRelief provided 200 sacrificial animals in the Mudharabah and Ras Al-Arah districts of Lahij Governorate, benefiting 2,800 individuals from needy groups, with a total of 32,620 Yemenis to be assisted. Additionally, 350 sacrificial animals were distributed in the Mansoura district of Aden Governorate, aiding 4,900 individuals, including cancer and kidney failure patients, people with disabilities, orphaned families, and those in need.

Assistance in Syria

In Syria, KSRelief distributed 350 sacrificial animals in Darkoush and its camps in Idlib Governorate, as well as Jindires and its camps in Aleppo Governorate. This initiative supported 2,897 individuals affected by last year’s earthquake. The project in Syria plans to distribute 1,388 sacrificial animals in various cities, aiming to aid 73,188 individuals.

Humanitarian Efforts in Chad

In Chad, KSRelief provided 1,000 food baskets in Mayo-Kebbi East Region, benefitting 6,000 individuals from the most needy groups. This distribution is part of a larger food security project for 2024, targeting the delivery of 54,855 food baskets weighing 65 kilograms each, including essential food items. The project aims to support 121,530 individuals across various regions in the central African country.

These aid distributions are a testament to KSRelief’s commitment to providing humanitarian support to those in need globally, easing suffering and bringing joy during festive times.
