Saudi Ministry Distributing Gifts to Departing Pilgrims

In a gesture of generosity, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in the Makkah region is distributing gifts to pilgrims leaving the Kingdom after completing Hajj.

A total of 646,652 copies of the Qur’an and a translation of its meanings are being given out at various locations including King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the Jeddah Islamic Port, and Taif International Airport, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Departing pilgrims have expressed their gratitude towards the Saudi government for the facilities and services provided to them. They see the reception and farewell ceremonies as a reflection of the Kingdom’s generosity towards pilgrims and visitors.

The annual Hajj pilgrimage, which kicked off on Friday, came to a close on Wednesday with over 2 million Muslims participating this year.
