Saudi Arabia Condemns Terrorist Attacks on Churches and Synagogues in Russia
In a strong statement on Tuesday, Saudi Arabia expressed its condemnation of the horrific terrorist attacks that took place in Russia’s mainly Muslim region of Dagestan. The attacks targeted churches and synagogues, resulting in a tragic loss of life and many injuries.
The brutal assaults carried out by militants in the cities of Derbent and Makhachkala left 21 people dead and at least 46 others wounded. The attackers not only targeted Christian and Jewish places of worship but also opened fire on police forces in the area.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry made it clear that the Kingdom stands firmly against all forms of terrorism, extremism, and violence aimed at innocent civilians. The country extended its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, as well as to the people of Russia. Additionally, Saudi Arabia wished a swift recovery to all those who were injured in the senseless attacks.
