Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Congratulates Qatar’s Emir on 11th Anniversary of Accession
In a gesture of goodwill, King Salman of Saudi Arabia reached out to Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to extend his congratulations on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of his accession.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the king conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the emir’s health and happiness, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the government and people of Qatar.
Joining in the congratulatory message, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also sent his regards to the emir.
Sheikh Tamim ascended to the throne on June 25, 2013, following the abdication of his father, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, who passed on the reins of power to his son.
