In a series of successful operations, Saudi Arabia’s drug control authority has managed to apprehend several individuals involved in drug smuggling activities. The Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday that large quantities of drugs were seized in operations conducted in Asir and Jazan.

The border guards in Jazan made significant arrests, capturing two Ethiopians who were attempting to smuggle 43 kg of hashish and 3,420 grams of methamphetamine into the Kingdom. Additionally, a Yemeni citizen was also arrested at the Jazan border for trying to smuggle 30 kg of qat.

In Asir, the authorities apprehended two Ethiopian citizens who were involved in smuggling 22 kg of hashish.

Saudi security authorities have issued a public appeal, urging individuals to report any suspicious activities related to drug smuggling or promotion. They can do so by calling 911 in the Makkah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province regions, or by dialing 999 elsewhere in Saudi Arabia.

Alternatively, individuals can also send information via email to [email protected]. It is important to note that all reports will be handled confidentially.
