Exclusive: Ashi Studio’s Stunning Riyadh Air Uniforms Revealed in Paris!

Saudi Designer Mohammed Ashi Unveils Riyadh Air Cabin Crew Uniforms

PARIS: In a dazzling event following his Haute Couture Week show in Paris, Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi, the founder of Ashi Studio, revealed the first cabin crew uniforms for Riyadh Air, the Kingdom’s new airline set to take its maiden flight in 2025.

A Modern Twist on Golden Age Aviation

During the grand reveal, Ashi expressed, “What we’ve done is, we’ve taken the golden age of aviation and we are representing it in the current day; it’s a relevant collection.” The CEO of Riyadh Air, Tony Douglas, also emphasized that this is not just about uniforms, but cabin crew fashion.

The luxury line includes timeless cashmere outerwear, elegant dresses, fine wool trousers, custom leather footwear, amethyst earrings, and pillbox hats inspired by 1950s airline fashion with an Ashi twist.

Unique Color Tones and Bold Designs

Ashi introduced new color tones, Electric Amethyst for womenswear and Dark Amethyst for menswear, paying homage to Saudi Arabia’s lavender fields. The uniform collection will be worn by cabin crew, pilots, concierge agents, and airport staff, changing seasonally to keep the looks fresh.

Connecting to the Halcyon Days of Commercial Aviation

Douglas praised Ashi’s designs for connecting back to the glamor of commercial aviation in the 1950s, with a modern twist. The runway show in Paris featured ten womenswear looks and five menswear looks, with distinctive Riyadh Air elements integrated into the designs.

A Global Impact and Attention to Detail

Riyadh Air aims to make a lasting impression with its elegant and chic designs, set to be recognized in airports worldwide. The collaboration between Ashi and Riyadh Air signifies a blend of luxury, attention to detail, and modernity in aviation fashion.

As Ashi expressed, “This is an amazing collaboration where fashion is helping to make an airline modern with completely unique looks.” Riyadh Air’s maiden flight in 2025 will mark a new chapter in the airline’s history, with Ashi’s creations on board for the journey.
