Saudi Cabinet vows to stop Israeli attacks on Palestinians – Breaking News

Saudi Arabia’s Efforts to Halt Israeli Aggression

In a bold move, Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to putting an end to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. Working tirelessly alongside its partners at both political and humanitarian levels, Saudi Arabia is leading the charge to stop the devastating ground and air incursion by Israel into the Gaza Strip. This aggressive action was sparked by an attack from Hamas militants on Israeli settlements bordering the enclave, setting off a nearly nine-month-long conflict.

With over 2 million people in the Palestinian territory suffering the consequences of this conflict, the Kingdom and its allies are pushing for a ceasefire to bring much-needed relief to the region.

Exciting Discoveries in Oil and Gas

On a separate note, the Saudi Cabinet celebrated the recent discovery of seven oil and gas deposits in the Kingdom’s Eastern Province and Empty Quarter. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman announced the groundbreaking findings, including two unconventional oil fields, a reservoir of light Arabian oil, two natural gas fields, and two natural gas reservoirs. This discovery marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s energy sector.

Advancements in Gas Field Development

During a meeting chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, ministers discussed the awarding of contracts for the second phase of the Jafurah gas field development and the third stage of the expansion of the master gas system. These strategic moves are part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economy and solidify its position as a global leader in energy markets.

Saudi Aramco has already granted 16 agreements for phase two development at Jafurah, totaling approximately $12.4 billion. Additionally, 15 contracts, valued at around $8.8 billion, have been awarded to kickstart phase three expansion of the master gas system, which distributes natural gas to customers across Saudi Arabia.

Pioneering Renewable Energy Project

The Cabinet also highlighted the launch of a groundbreaking geographical survey project for renewable energy in Saudi Arabia. This innovative initiative, the first of its kind in the world, underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to achieving national targets in renewable energy production. By optimizing the energy mix for electricity generation, Saudi Arabia is moving towards exporting electrical energy and producing clean hydrogen, signaling a shift towards a more sustainable future.
