Saudi Aid Agency KSrelief Supervisor General Visits Turkiye

In a move to inspect the work of volunteers aiding those affected by earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria, the supervisor general of Saudi aid agency KSrelief, Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, visited the cities of Reyhanli and Kirikhan in Turkiye’s Hatay Province on Tuesday.

Reviewing Volunteer Programs

During his visit, Al-Rabeeah reviewed the progress of the Saudi voluntary Samaa Program for Auditory Rehabilitation and Cochlear Implants at the MMT American Hospital in Reyhanli. He commended the volunteers for their efforts in alleviating suffering and implementing various programs to help those affected by the earthquakes.

Continuous Support from Saudi Leadership

Al-Rabeeah praised the volunteers under the patronage of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to implementing humanitarian projects globally to serve those in need.

Supporting Vocational Training

The aid agency chief also visited a vocational training center to review the support provided to earthquake victims. Courses in mobile phone maintenance, sewing, embroidery, and graphic design are helping individuals develop skills and experience.

Providing Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Services

Al-Rabeeah toured the Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in Hatay, learning about the services it provides for earthquake victims. The center offers prosthetic limbs, rehabilitation, and basic health services to support those in need.

Psychological Support and Healthcare Services

The Saudi Volunteer Psychological Support Team’s work was highlighted during the visit. Al-Rabeeah commended the healthcare providers for their efforts in providing integrated medical and health services to support patients of all ages affected by the earthquakes.

Gratitude from Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Saudi Arabia for the rapid responses and vital medical aid, food, and shelter provided by KSrelief volunteer teams. The government and people of Saudi Arabia were thanked for their ongoing support.

Community Support and Housing Projects

Al-Rabeeah met with the governor of Gaziantep, Kemal Ceber, to thank him for the facilities provided to aid the implementation of volunteer programs. A project to provide 364 houses in the Islahiyah area of Gaziantep was inspected, with recipients expressing thanks for the high-quality shelter provided.

Temporary Housing Units and Infrastructure

KSrelief has provided 3,000 temporary housing units for earthquake victims in Syria and Turkiye. Each unit is equipped with basic furniture and a bathroom, with additional facilities such as schools, prayer rooms, play areas, and water wells. Solar energy equipment and infrastructure are also provided to support the housing developments.

Continued Efforts to Support Communities

With 12,000 people already benefiting from the housing, KSrelief is working to provide an additional 1,000 temporary homes in Hatay Governorate. These efforts are expected to benefit 5,000 more individuals in need of support.
