Saudi Border Guard Thwarts Attempt to Smuggle 90 kg of Qat
Breaking news out of Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Border Guard intercepted a daring attempt to smuggle 90 kg of qat into the Kingdom.
Swift action by officers in Jazan’s Al-Dayer area led to the arrest of six foreign nationals involved in the smuggling operation.
For those unfamiliar, qat is a flowering shrub indigenous to the Arabian Peninsula, known for containing cathine and cathinone, which act as mild stimulants.
15 kg of Hashish Seized in Asir
But that’s not all – in Asir, a vigilant land patrol successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 15 kg of hashish into the country.
